This blog will primarily focus on my experiences with Network File Systems aka NFS.
My interest to share my experiences comes from my realization that people using NFS are quite often searching for new ways to configure and use NFS in evolving environments. With NFS protocol itself undergoing evolution and the deployment environments also changing gradually to meet the new demands, I believe it will be useful to share information which can be used to deploy and use NFS more efficiently, specially in the newer versions of the protocol and in newer environments.
A little background about myself: I work as an NFS software developer for NetApp (earlier known as Network Appliance Inc.) and have been working on distributed computing for quite a while.
This blog will also help me to keep track of things which I often figure out but forget to write down somewhere and then forget all about it :)
